Master bedroom complete remodel! Prior to the remodel -hubby said to his wife, “ I feel like I’m sleeping in my college apartment every night”. This 13×15 master was a small, plain box just waiting for a makeover. I’m kinda OBSESSED with wall paneling right now- so I felt it was just what this room needed to give it character and feel larger and lighter. Another major style component for this room was to incorporate textiles from all over the world.

Vintage Turkish rug from Turkey,Moroccan pompom blanket from Morocco,white handmade mud cloth pillow from Africa, cactus silk pillow from Spain, and a real sheepskin from Iceland (all purchased from vendors on Etsy). The ceilings had an awful texture so we covered them up with clean looking shiplap which added a nice platform for the vintage chandalier. The oversized vintage doors from Denmark #antiquesandvintagetexas make a huge statement walking into the master bath. The TV/armoire and nightstands were custom designed by Petit a Petit Home Design with forged hardware from#fergusonkaty. Sconces from #Wayfair. Platform upholstered bed and curtains from #potterybarn.

Wall color is pale oak by Benjamin Moore- panel and trim is white dove by Benjamin Moore- custom furniture is hale navy with black wax. This once blah room is now a beautiful and calming master retreat. Start to finish design and construction took only 2 1/2 weeks- amazing! (Best part about this project…. I get to sleep here every night.)
