What an amazing transformation of this space, the laundry, and 1/2 bath. My sweet clients truly deserved this as they have sacrificed putting their 4 kids through private school, college, and 3 daughters weddings! It was finally time to do a little something special for themselves. They had never been through the remodel process before. They were true champs enduring the hiccups that go along with any remodel. This couple loves to entertain having their bible study groups and family over. It was a no-brainer we needed to open up, rearrange, and add the “perfect” island to their home! This was a little tricky because the kitchen is small but we did it and it feels so much bigger now. Clients didn’t want a “white kitchen” but a lighter monochromatic feel. We chose BM pale oak for cabinets AND walls. The windows are custom trimmed in BM simply white for subtle contrast. Canned lighting and pendants brightened the space. We trimmed out the new opening and vent hood in mahogany wood to coordinate with the wood floors and beams in the adjacent living room. We made a day trip to purchase doors to add a bit of charm and character from #antiquesandvintagetexas

Start to finish- the remodel took 9 weeks. We also repainted majority of the house, trimmed out the windows, and added canned lighting to living, office, den, and hall. A HUGE thanks to Cesar, Jose, and Ismael who did all the construction work to make this happen.
